In Black and White traces the gripping life story of Springbok
rugby coach Jake White, right up to and including the 2007 Rugby World Cup. The
first man to coach the Springboks for four successive seasons, Whites rise
to the top job in SA Rugby is a journey of intense determination to succeed against
all odds: a troubled childhood, coming to terms with the fact that he would never
wear a provincial or Springbok blazer, starting out as a school coach, to his
eventual elevation to arguably the toughest job in world sport. White takes readers
into rugbys inner sanctum, where politicking and hidden agendas sometimes
supersede the best interests of the sport, and relates the incredible highs and
desperate lows of being part of the Springbok set-up. Riveting, controversial,
sometimes amusing and often unbelievable, Whites story will both absorb
and astound.

with the Kosher Butcher's Wife (Paperback) by Sharon Lurie (Author)
Written
in a humorous, fun style, COOKING WITH THE KOSHER BUTCHERS WIFE is like
no other cookery book. It will keep eager meat lovers entertained as they try
out Sharon Luries delicious recipes.
After 25 years of experimenting,
creating and improvising, Sharon finally dispels the old myth that, because cooking
with kosher meat means eating only from the forequarter, meals are limited to
tough, dry and boring meat! She proves that kosher meat is of the highest grade
and quality, and by means of notes and tips, and tried-and-tested recipes, helps
the reader prepare mouthwatering beef dishes, as well as wonderful lamb, veal
and poultry fare.
Other recipes include marinades, soups, deli delights,
side dishes, vegetables and unforgettable desserts. All the recipes in COOKING
WITH THE KOSHER BUTCHERS WIFE are also suitable for the lactose intolerant.
With the many non-dairy substitutes available today, Sharon proves that non-dairy
desserts can be just as delectable as their dairy counterparts. About
The Author: Sharon Luries passion for food lies solely in the fact
that time out is time spent in the kitchen! As a kosher butchers
wife with easy access to a limited supply of meat, she has enjoyed
many years of experimenting with every cut on the forequarter. As well as distributing
her original recipes to customers, Sharon has written food articles for magazines
and caters for large crowds every Shabbos! Her writing skills go back
three generations to her great grandfather, Abraham Smith, who wrote Jewish biblical
plays and books with Jewish themes

Jonathan
Deal is a travel photographer and writer who specialises in 'off the beaten track'
type features, particularly for off-road and motoring press.
His enchantment
with the Karoo began in 2002 when he and his wife bought their own piece of land
between Touws River and Montagu, where he is attempting to become a local in anticipation
of retiring there (many years away). This vast and unique region, at once
awe-inspiring and secretive, will draw you close into its protective mantle; too
close for casual inspection by the hurried traveller. The Karoo will share its
secrets with you only if youre prepared to sit quietly to learn its mysteries
over a plate of bobotie, a glass of witblits, and a copy of Timeless Karoo.
This
beautifully illustrated and well-written book encompasses a vast area: the geographical
expanse from Niewoudtville in the northwest, eastwards to Hopetown, south to Steytlerville
and west to Montagu. Within this region you will encounter six Karoos: the Central,
Hantam, Great, Klein, Tankwa and Northern & Upper Karoo, each with its own
stockpile of natural and human history, its own complex tapestry and prehistoric
rhythms. Each journey into the Karoo yields a fresh view, a different angle and
an urge to cut loose, swing off the tar, and pursue an uncharted dirt road into
an unknown horizon.

Jeremy Clarkson knows theres more to life than cars. There
is, after all, a whole world out there just waiting to be discovered. So, before
he gets on to torque steer and active suspension, hed like to take a little
time to consider the bigger picture. Dont worry, well get to the car
bit in the end, but before we do, we'll learn about: The unfortunate collapse
of the British empire... Why Galapagos tortoises are all mental... France reduced
to the size of a small coconut... Why Jeremy Paxman and the bass guitarist of
AC/DC arent so very different... The problems of being English... And Gods
most stupid creation... Then there are the cars: Whether its the poxiest
little runabout or an exotic, firebreathing supercar, no one else writes about
cars like Jeremy. Unmoved by official claims and uninterested in press junkets,
anything on four wheels is approached without fear or favour. What emerges
from the ashes is not always pretty. But it is, invariably, very, very funny. Beautiful

Africa features a diverse selection of stylish, characterful homes, all with their
own sense of identity and bearing testimony to a truly South African lifestyle.
This South African-inspired decor title includes only private homes belonging
to South Africans.
By limiting the number of homes shown, Nicola has been
able to present the genuine feel of the home and the owners' individual creativity
and preferred lifestyle choice.
South African style comes from the heart,
from personal experiences; it sometimes necessitates hand-crafting rather than
sophisticated design machinery. As a result, the book is also a showcase for South
African artists, sculptors and craftspeople. The idea behind the book is to inspire
and to create a positive awareness of South African design. Namibia

Namibia A Visual Celebration
is part of the popular, large-format Visual Celebration series. All
the mysterious aspects of this stark and compelling land are dramatically depicted
in an astounding collection of photographs from the fragility of the mist-enshrouded
coastline in the west to the hot, dry wasteland of the interior. The cultural
diversity of Namibias sparse population has not escaped the cameras
eye, nor has the plant life, much of it unique to this land. Also featured in
the book is the wildlife surprisingly abundant here which has adapted
to survive triumphantly in a harsh and unforgiving environment. The images
captured in the book of this countrys ever-changing landscapes are ones
that will stay with the reader forever.
